Agua-Fria is currently focused on the development of the Solar Cyclone. We are developing technologies and business strategies to enable to commercialization of the this technology. The Solar/Condensation Cyclone (S/C Cyclone) which will produce clean water and energy. The underlying technologies in the S/C Cyclone, if proven viable, would provide an economical method of producing water and electricity while eliminating environmental damage.

The S/C Cyclone is similar to a Solar Tower/Solar Chimney – which uses a greenhouse to create updraft and collect electricity. These devices have been tested and are in the final stages of becoming reality. In Australia a 1000m tower is in the final stages of review to begin construction by 2006. China and India are also moving forward with Solar Towers to produce electricity. The S/C Cyclone technologies (seeding incoming airflow, creating a vortex, and extracting water) would increase the economical viability of these devices from a current ROI of -0.54% to 5.51% (increasing discounted cash flow over the next 20 years by $171M), while providing clean water. Additionally the S/C Cyclone could operate in a range of climatic regions where the Solar Tower is only viable in area with very high solar radiation.

Other variations of the S/C Cyclone (humid climates and farms) have ROI’s in the 15-20% range. In these scenarios a single S/C Cyclone would create enough electricity to serve 950,000, water to serve 50,000 while abating over 4.3 Million tons of pollutants per year. These potential returns are conservative since they do not take into account: 1) Increase in price of electricity and water as demand increases, 2) Increased government incentives/tax breaks for clean energy and water, 3) Long-term saving of the environment from using clean energies.

Farms of S/C Cyclones could become the primary means of electricity and water generation on Earth, could be used to mass produce distributable Hydrogen and could seed the major river systems. It is this potential that drives us.
